Battery backup and water-powered backup options are available so a power outage doesn't undo your protection.
An oversized or undersized sump pump both cause problems down the line — short-cycling, premature motor failure, or simply not keeping up during a real storm. We calculate GPH capacity against your basin's actual inflow rather than reaching for a default size.
We check discharge line routing and check valve placement as part of every install, not just the pump itself.
A failed sump pump during active weather gets priority dispatch across our Sodus, NY coverage area.
Pricing covers the pump, basin, check valve, and discharge line as one quoted number, not itemized surprises after the fact.
We calculate gallons-per-hour pump capacity based on your basin size and typical inflow rate, not a one-size-fits-all recommendation.
We scope every Sump Pump Installation job in person before quoting it, since two properties with the same symptom rarely need the same fix.
A correctly sized primary pump is the backbone of any basement drainage system, and we match horsepower to your basin's actual inflow rate.
We size backup battery capacity to your typical outage duration, not just a default runtime estimate.
This option works well as a second layer of protection alongside a battery backup system.
We also inspect discharge line routing to make sure water is actually getting away from the foundation, not just to the yard next to it.
Basin lids are sealed to reduce basement humidity and keep debris out of the pump mechanism.
Tell us your pump's age, symptoms, and whether it failed or you're installing new — that shapes what we bring on the visit.
We also check the discharge line route and check valve condition as part of the same visit.
You'll see the recommended pump horsepower, basin size, and any backup options broken out with pricing.
You'll get a quick walkthrough of the alarm and backup system operation so you know what to expect.
"Our old sump pump died during the biggest storm of the year and we got water in the finished basement. They replaced it with a battery backup system the same afternoon."
— Sodus Customer
"Basin was way too small for how much water we get — they resized it and the pump finally keeps up."
— Sodus Homeowner
"Check valve on our old system had failed and nobody had caught it. New pump plus a working check valve made a real difference."
— Sodus Customer
"Explained the GPH rating and why our old pump was undersized for our basin — made total sense once they laid it out."
— Sodus Homeowner
If the pump runs constantly or your basin overflows during heavy rain, it's likely undersized for your actual inflow rate.
If you've had a power outage during a storm before, or your basement has flooded from pump failure, a backup system is worth the investment.
We can test an existing pump's condition during an inspection rather than assuming it needs replacement.
In many cases yes, especially during active weather — we carry common pump sizes on our trucks for Sodus, NY emergency calls.
A primary pump runs on household power and handles day-to-day drainage; a backup pump activates during a power outage or primary pump failure.
Terms vary by pump model, and we'll explain exactly what's covered before you approve the quote.
